Behavioral Thoughts by Ron Reams
Posted By:Ron Reams Posted On:December, 10th 2008 Category: Health
Now that the holiday season has officially begun, let’s take a look at who is responsible for the success and maintenance of your program. Many of you have ventured up and down the diet highway for many years and with good results. A diet is a diet and the result, weight loss! However, as many have stated, the weight loss was good but over time the weight returned. Why? As was recently discussed, it may take up to five {5} times for the person wanting to sustain weight loss to “get it.” By getting it we have found that the person has assumed ALL the responsibility for his or her success and therefore loses and maintains the lifestyle that has eluded them for years. These people take personal responsibility and do not blame, point fingers or depend on theirs for success. They have become assertive by expressing their needs and feelings and setting boundaries also for themselves and others. This is the time of year where temptations will be high and many will face the innocent enticing from others, it’s Christmas you should enjoy it! Focus on you. Focus on the investment you have made in yourself. Focus on the success you have had and take responsibility for the success of your program and be responsible to you. It’s not a selfish act, it’s follow through on the path you have set for yourself and the responsibility you are taking to ensure success and lifetime achievement! |
